Injectable skin treatment

Rejuran

An injectable treatment using purified polynucleotides derived from wild salmon DNA.

Rejuran treatment preparation

What is Rejuran and how does it work?

Our skin is constantly repairing itself, but natural ageing and environmental stressors can affect this process. Rejuran® contains polynucleotides, purified molecules derived from wild salmon DNA that are biocompatible with human tissue.

Polynucleotides work within the skin to support natural repair processes, hydration and dermal structure.

Potential outcomes may include:

  • Supporting skin barrier function
  • Assisting with hydration and elasticity
  • Improving skin texture and smoothness
  • Reducing the appearance of fine lines
  • Supporting skin repair following environmental stress
  • Improving the appearance of scarring

Rejuran® does not add volume or aim to change facial features. Treatment focuses on supporting overall skin quality, with results developing gradually over time.

Treatments are personalised following a clinical consultation to determine suitability.

What to expect

  • Consultation and skin assessment first, with medical review where required.
  • If suitable, a series of small injections across the treatment area; numbing options are discussed.
  • A short appointment, typically under 45 minutes.
  • Written aftercare and a review before further sessions.

Risks and recovery

Common, usually temporary effects include small raised blebs at the injection points, settling over hours to days, along with redness, swelling, tenderness and bruising. Less common risks include infection and allergic reaction. Most people return to normal activities the same day, avoiding make-up and strenuous exercise initially.

Who it may not suit: not appropriate during pregnancy or breastfeeding, with certain allergies, active skin infection, or some medical conditions. A consultation is required to assess your individual suitability. Individual results vary, and no specific outcome can be promised.
